As its name suggests, the tea contains a series of tapioca or gelatin pearls. These balls sit at the bottom of the drink and, if they are gelatin, they taste like different fruits. Thus, they are sipped along with the drink with extra-long and thick straws. Once they reach the mouth, they explode, thus displaying all their flavor.

The drink is served on the vast majority of occasions in a transparent glass, since its bubbly qualities can be observed. Currently there are new versions of the Bubble Tea: smoothies with fresh fruit and crushed ice, chocolate smoothie, etc.

Greens, oranges and yellows. Sometimes two and even three colors at a time. They all have one thing in common: black pearls - gelatinous and similar to jelly beans - that accumulate at the bottom of the glass. It is bubble tea or boba - name of the tapioca balls that it carries - and it has become one of the most successful drinks on Instagram.

The silly tea was successful in the big apple and from there it was catapulted to many other cities in the world.

Its authorship is unclear, it is disputed by two coffee shops, but if it is known what happened in Taiwan and in the late 80s. From the small island it spread throughout the world until it reached the Chinese neighborhood of New York.
